Vesper on His Mind

A Quantum of Solace

I wasn't sure what to expect with A Quantum of Solace, but from the first scenes of James careening through the streets and alleyways from Lake Garda to Sienna, Italy in his Aston-Martin, and the blue Vespa parked on the side street, you know he's still mourning the loss of Vesper Lynd and her betrayal of him, angry and vengeful, and will it affect his judgement? He's unstoppable in this latest film, with a singleness of purpose. I actually liked the storyline to this one very much.

Along the way, he encounters Camille Montes, a woman out for revenge for her own reasons, which mirrors James', and they form a shaky alliance, from Haiti to Austria and Bolivia.

Gemma Arterton is beautiful as Strawberry Fields, the copper-haired MI-6 operative sent to rein James in, an homage to the 60's Bond girls.

James chases Vesper's former lover to Russia, Now I want to find out exactly what James was told that gave him that quantum of solace. I hopw the wait isn't too long!
