Bravo for Brokeback

One of my favorite movies of all time, Brokeback Mountain, will be making its network premiere tonight at 9 pm on Bravo. A word of warning: Ennis' and Jack's love has been edited to within an inch of its beautiful, fragile life, and some of the divine cowboy cussin' has been curtailed a bit (G*ddamn horses spooked, 'n scattered food ever'where is still there), but it's still very powerful, because of the sheer beauty and immenseness of the scenery, and the subject matter. And perhaps more people will be able to see it.
I have always been a huge fan of the Western genre of film and of cowboys, and Brokeback Mountain is an exceptional film on all levels. From my romanticized way of thinking, there's the Chivalry of the Knights of the Roundtable, the Bushido of the Samurai of feudal Japan, and The Cowboy Way of the American West, and I love 'em all. Enjoy! :)
**Update: After much complaint, the second night in the tent scene (SNIT to us Brokeback Mountain fans) will be restored in all future showings on Bravo. Nice to now that sometimes when you complain, someone listens. :)
